Hey y’all, Thank you for visiting the Paw Plaza LLC website! I figured I should tell you a little more about me, my education and past work experience, and what I like to do for fun!

 

      My name is Morgan Province and I am the owner of Paw Plaza LLC. I am 30 years old, from Jonesville VA, and I am so thankful to be able to bring my dream business to life! I've lived the farm life my entire life here in southwest Virginia, and I've loved every second of it. I worked at an animal hospital in East Tennessee while attending and after graduating from Lincoln Memorial University. I graduated from LMU with an Associates & Bachelors degree in Veterinary Health Science in 2017. I spent 3 years working at the animal hospital and the knowledge I gained with hands on experience was incredible. The friendships I gained while there and at the university are invaluable and absolutely helped mold me into the person I am today. I cherish friendships that push me to be a better version of myself each day! 

      My animals are my world, and always get the royal treatment. In the past year, I have had to say goodbye to two of my precious German Shepherds, Lola and Reuben. Lola was diagnosed with several spinal disorders, and Reuben had degenerative myelopathy. Using a wheelchair, medication, and several other assistance devices, as well as help from my loved ones, I was able to keep them happy and comfortable until it was time to let them go. Though the “goodbye” for each of them was almost a year apart, it still stings like it was yesterday. I loved them more than words could ever express. Now I am down to one German Shepherd, Rico. The past few years, he has traveled all over the United States with me from coast to coast. I have also welcomed the most precious Golden Retriever into our fur family. Her name is Amira and she can put a smile on anyone's face. We are inseparable. At home Rico and Amira have four cat siblings, Keelie, Kovu, Farley, and Karl, and one Sun Conure sibling, Moses. The cats are needy and the bird is grouchy, but I wouldn’t have it any other way!

      When I'm not at Paw Plaza, I enjoy travelling and barrel racing. I currently have two barrel horses, Cody & Gucci. That sport has my heart though it’s been on the back burner the past year as I dealt with an injury. I snapped my Achilles last June, then re-snapped it 3 more times in a never ending series of unfortunate events.  Now, for the first time since the struggles with my gimpy limb I am able to walk and ride again! Is it graceful? No. But its progress so if you want to ignore the slight limp, that'd be great.  I’m so excited and relieved to be back in the saddle once again! As far as traveling is concerned, I love traveling both within the United States, as well as internationally. Though I have ben fortunate enough to visit Canada and Mexico as well, I fell in love with Scotland in 2019 and can't wait to go back again! I love learning about and immersing myself in different cultures throughout the world, and I cherish the incredible friendships I have made in the process.
